A Woman Killed by Her Husband in Takhar
The Taliban’s police command in Takhar province has announced that a woman was killed by her husband in the Yangi Qala district of the province. Zabihullah Hakimi, the spokesperson for the Taliban’s police command, stated that the incident took place on Thursday night, April 3 (14 Hamal), in the village of "Makhmal Guzar."
According to Hakimi, the woman’s husband killed her with a "shotgun" following a verbal altercation. He added that the husband has been arrested on charges of murder, and investigations are underway to determine the exact motive behind this crime.
It is said that in recent years, domestic violence against women and their murders have significantly increased.
