Remains of Kobra Rezaei, Afghan Migrant, Found in Iranian Man's House in Tehran
The remains of Kobra Rezaei, a young Afghan migrant, were discovered in the house of an Iranian man in Tehran 50 days after her disappearance.
According to reports, the suspect is a 32-year-old married man named "A.Kh," who worked as a guard at a household appliance factory in Pakdasht.
Police, acting on suspicions raised by Kobra’s family, obtained a judicial warrant and entered the suspect’s home, where they found Kobra’s dismembered remains, which had apparently been treated with acid in an attempt to destroy evidence.
The suspect initially denied the allegations but confessed to the murder after police presented evidence. He stated that he became extremely agitated upon learning of Kobra’s engagement, leading to the crime.
The human rights organization "Hengaw" had previously reported the discovery of the mutilated body of a 26-year-old Afghan girl in Tehran, identifying her as Kobra Rezaei, also known as "Shaghayegh."
This incident has once again heightened concerns about the safety of Afghan migrants in Iran, with human rights activists calling for thorough investigations and justice in this case.
